SallingPlast produces several types of assembly bends: They can be produced out of oversized jacket pipes, jacket pipes, shrinkable pipes or they can be flexible.
All bends are produced by traditional PeHD-material so that the properties of the bends are equivalent with the properties in the jacket. Our standard products range from Ø 75 up to Ø 800 mm.
The measurement tables show 45° and 90° bends with leg lengths of 500 x 500 mm, and 1,000 x 1,000 mm for steel welding bends 1.5 x D with insulation thickness series 1, 2 and 3.
Assembly bends with different angles, leg lengths, radii and number of segments can be supplied by special request.
Bends of oversized jacket pipes are used in existing pipe lines. The bend overlaps the jacket pipe and sleeves or similar sealing material can be mounted before/after foaming.
Bends of jacket pipes are used on existing pipe lines where a smooth/even joining is required between bend and existing pipe. Pipe ends are extrusion welded.
Shrinkable bends are used on existing pipe lines. Loose adhesive and sleeves can be supplied to create a double sealing. Shrinkable assembly bends with fitted adhesive are not recommended as this can cause problems with the slitting and the welding process.
Shrinkable assembly bends in extra thickness is an advantage at extrusion welding.
Flexible bends are used when you do not know in advance what the bend angle is, in need of a 'here and now' solution. The bent can be bent up to 90°.
