Expects strong growth in the sales of HDPE plastic mooring bollards and flexible soil-heating pipes.
On April 1 Salling Plast AS took over the manufacturer NP Profile. This includes Danrør, which is based in Ranum, where Salling Plast already has 22,000 m2 production. The acquisition involves the entire PE product range, names and buildings.
Danrør produces, inter alia, insertion pipes for district heating and water and soil-heating pipes and mooring bollards.
Steen Højslet Mortensen from Danrør welcomes the sale: "I've reached an age where I want to enjoy my retirement with my family, and I am of the opinion that Salling Plast is the right company to continue what I have built up over the years."
One of the products Salling Plast has high expectations for are HDPE plastic mooring bollards, which shall replace the many bollards made of either concrete or wood. There are thousands of these bollards in ports worldwide.
Many locations have reached the point where replacement required, and the obvious choice will be to install HDPE plastic bollards, which are virtually indestructible. The bollards are typically installed over drill pipes or railway tracks.
"It is a unique product with huge potential around the world and Salling Plast is therefore very pleased with the agreement," says Salling Plast Chairman Mogens Holm Jensen.
Danrør's products will now include Salling Plast's product range.
