Insulation

 

Salling Plast is capable of supplying PUR-foam (including shake mix), mineral wool and soft
foam; can be supplied as series 1 (standard), 2 (plus) and 3 (plus plus).

PUR-foam, mineral wool and soft foam can be found as insulation pipes or insulating half
shells.
Insulation pipes are primarily used for repairs, where a particular adjustment is needed.

Insulation pipes of PUR can be found with or without jacket pipe or for inside jacket mounting.

Standard length is 900 mm.

Insulating half shells are used for insulation of pipe joints. These can be produced of 100% PUR (standard length 380 mm or 450 mm) or of PUR with a core of mineral wool or soft foam (standard length 450 mm).

All have the same outside measurements as a standard jacket pipe.

Our insulation fulfil the technical requirements stated in EN253.

Insulation Pipe

Insulation pipes have the same outside dimension as standard jacket pipes.

Insulation Pipe with Jacket

Insulation pipes with jackets are used for repairs where an extrusion welding is required creating a 100% tight seal in the same dimension as the existing jacket pipe.

Insulation Pipe for Inside Jacket Mounting

These insulation pipes fit inside a standard jacket pipe.

Insulating Half Shell

 

Insulating half shells of PUR-foam can be supplied with a track on the inside for el/heating cables.

 

These have the same inside and outside dimensions as an insulation pipe.

Selected dimensions can be supplied for double pipe systems.

Insulating Half Shell with Soft Core

Insulation half shells with soft core can be delivered in three different types:


One for butt welded carrier pipe joint with tracer pipe/heating cable
One for E/F coupled carrier pipe joint with tracer pipe/heating cable
One with a core consisting of mineral wool used on high temperature systems.

Standard length 450 mm.

 

 Mineral Wool

Mineral wool with aluminium foil can be found in different hardnesses and is used on
high temperature systems. 

 

Shake Mix

We offer foam for pipe systems.
A shake mix is required when foaming pipe joints/casings or repairing pipe lines.

The shake mix can be supplied to all casing sizes.

We offer isocyanat and polyol in units with up to 250 kg/unit.

Instructions for mixing must be strictly followed and we recommend the use of a foam machine in order to obtain an optimal mixture.
