Salling Plast produces different types of assembly T-pieces which are used for repairing or establishing
new service lines, often on systems in operation by way of a hot tapping valve.

Our assembly T-pieces fulfil the technical requirements stated in EN253.

In principal an assembly T-piece can be divided into three parts:
a main pipe
a branch piece
an accessory kit

These parts can be supplied singularly, combined or as a complete set.

5.1 Combinations
These standard combinations can be supplied with in a few days. All combinations except assembly T-piece with flanges can be delivered with a double branch:

Assembly T-piece welded, shrinkable branch

5.1.1. Assembly T-Piece with Flanges

The main pipe is shrinkable in both ends. The main pipe collar, which is also shrinkable, is integrated with the main pipe. The adhesive for the main pipe is sent loose and cut to size.

The branch is a flexbranch (0-90°) with a shrinkable
casing with adhesive.

The main pipe is available for dimensions Ø110 up to Ø315 mm and the branch for dimensions from Ø63 up to Ø140 mm.

Both the main pipe and the flexbranch in all dimensions have been subjected to irradiation, which reason expansions plugs are needed.

The branch piece consists of steel flanges with nuts, adhesive for flanges and the main pipe, ventilation plugs, expansion plugs and fops.

The steel part consists of steel bends and centerrings.

 

The assembly T-piece is tested according to EN489:2003.

Report can be obtained.

5.1.2.Assembly T-Piece with Loose Flexbranch, Complete

The main pipe is an oversize jacket pipe.
The main pipe collar is shrinkable and fitted with adhesive.

The branch is flexible (0-45°) with a shrinkable casing fitted with adhesive.

The standard length of the main pipe is 700 mm and 120 mm for the main pipe collar.
The length of the flexbranch varies, please see measurement table.
Shrinkable sleeves, shrinkable wrap and weldable closure are supplied.

 

 

 

5.1.3. Assembly T-Piece with Welded Flexbranch


The main pipe is an oversize jacket pipe.

The branch is flexible (0-45°) with a shrinkable
casing fitted with adhesive.

The standard length of the main pipe is 700mm.

The length of the flexbranch varies, please
see measurement table.

5.1.4. Assembly T-Piece with Welded, Shrinkable Branch

The main pipe is an oversize jacket pipe. The straight branch is shrinkable and fitted with adhesive.

The main pipe collar is two dimensions bigger
than the branch.

The standard length of the main pipe is 700
mm and 500 mm for the branch piece.

5.1.5. Assembly T-Piece with Welded Flexbranch and Oversize Collar

The main pipe is an oversize jacket pipe.

The flexible branch piece (0-45°) is shrinkable and fitted with adhesive.

The standard length of the main pipe is 700 mm.

An oversize collar in the main pipe is used when extra space is needed (e.g. hot tapping valves) in the junction between the main pipe and the branch piece.

5.2. Main Pipe

The main pipe can be a jacket pipe, an oversize jacket pipe or a shrinkable casing.

The main pipe can be:
With flanges (prepared for loose branch)
With welded collar (prepared for loose branch)
With welded branch(es)

Welded collars can be shrinkable with fitted adhesive.

As shrinkable the main pipe can be supplied with a V-joint or made of an oversize jacket pipe
with a surface milling.

5.3. Branch Piece

The branch piece can be supplied loose or welded on to the main pipe and can be produced as a jacket pipe, an oversize jacket pipe or a shrinkable casing.

The branch piece can be supplied with adhesive, prepared for double sealing; it can be flexible, straight, with a reducer or with a step 0-90°.

The branch pieces can be, e.g.:

Parallel (90°)
